Women's Group facilitated by Francesca Shorrock, Counsellor and Life Coach
A space to check in, reflect and feel at home. You think you're alone - but you're not In the past, women grew through communion with other women, through regular gatherings in the little communities we used to live in. In our modern, fast-paced life, little space seems to have been left for that. You believe you have to work out everything on your own - until you run out of resources and are forced to ask for help. Self-criticism and isolation flourish. Meanwhile, it takes a lot of time commitment, energy and careful selection, before we let down our guard and are able to truly share and connect with other, new women.
What is the women's group about? By signing up for our women's group, you'll bypass all of that. You'll have a safe space in your current life to reflect. A private community of peers to share whatever is going on in your life. A mindful women's circle that meets on a regular basis to take a pause with and be supported by. To feel more calm, light and hopeful. To remember that you're not alone and that you have a support network around you.
What will that look like? We will meet fortnightly on a Tuesday evening from 6-8pm. At each 120-minute gathering, I will create a safe space for you to feel comfortable enough to connect & reflect with other women. I will also lead you through a brief mindfulness exercise to help you slow down and 'arrive' in the moment. After that, I will provide the space for each one of you to share what's going on for a set amount of time, after which the others will reflect back to you. This will allow you to see yourself and where you are from multiple, other, supportive perspectives. At the end of each gathering, we'll close up with a 'check-out' and a final mindfulness moment.
What is mindfulness? mindfulness ...as defined by google ˈmʌɪn(d)f(ʊ)lnəs/ noun
the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. "their mindfulness of the wider cinematic tradition"
a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique
What's the time commitment, cost & how do I join? The time commitment is coming to your group for 120 minutes every fortnight. There is no homework or preparation that needs to be done before or afterwards. With the other group members, we will meet every fortnight on a Monday evening. The costs for joining the group for 6 sessions (approx. 3 months) is 270 Euros plus 20% VAT (324 Euros in total)
What will happen after the 6 sessions? The old group will either continue and/or new members will be joining, or a completely new group will start. Each group will have a maximum of 6 women.
There are limited spots available each quarter. The next group will start soon. You can reserve yours on a first-come-first served- basis by filling out the registration form underneath. I will contact you directly with information on scheduling and payment, before the next group starts. I would also like to meet you before the group starts, for you and I to assess, if the group is appropriate for you. If not, other options can be explored in this meeting.
